Finding progress beyond the number on the scale

Like a lot of people I wanted to lose weight and get in shape, but I was tired of the regular gym. After some nagging, a friend convinced me to try CrossFit and I finally agreed. It took a few months before I actually stepped into a first class, September 2014. I was so sore after, I couldn't move for days - but that didn't deter me from going back for more. In March 2015, I went on a whim and joined CFPG as one of the Founding Members. The place was just opening, so it had no reviews, nor was I able to check out any classes, but I gave it a chance and it was the best fitness decision I ever made.
I'm definitely stronger, leaner and have more muscle mass. I am also mentally stronger and I can finally say I enjoy working out. I started to like my body not only for how it looks but for what it can do and this is a big accomplishment for me. I'm happy with better performance, new skills, getting faster, stronger and not only for losing a pound or two.
