How I Took My Weight-Loss to the Next Level

I joined Power Grid in April 2016. I started because I needed some sort of workout that was group based, harder than I would ever do on my own, and fun. I'm fortunate that I found this place as it has exceeded my expectations in every way. I've had a terrific time and now enjoy working out five days a week. The folks are easy going and the coaching is excellent...really it is a joy to be here every morning...by 6am.
I'm stronger by quite a bit. I also find that my body moves better and the bones creak much less. I'm also starting to get into some of the nutrition stuff as well and being mindful about food is clearly the next frontier for me...and it's nice there are a lot of resources here to help make it possible to figure out how to be healthier all around.
I have two active little boys (7 & 9) who keep me pretty busy...in fact they join me most Saturdays at the gym which is always...fun. One of the things I committed to is learning something new each year after my 40th birthday. This year it's the bass guitar so I play that thing (with mixed results) when I'm not working, watching Game of Thrones, cleaning up, or hanging with my family.
