It is not the sexy part of CrossFit, but it is arguably the most important: Recovery and Wellness (RaW).
It's time to get serious about recovery and wellness. You only have one body and if you want it to perform to its full potential, you need to tune it up and perform regular maintenance.
Introducing Power Grid RaW!
RaW will be taking our mobility class to the next level with a focus on "active" recovery. We will get our heart rates up a little, maybe break a light sweat, but over all this class is designed to be a light recovery day.
The goal is to help athletes with recovery from the week’s WODs through active movements that will promote a combination of mobility and accessory drills focused on strengthening core and stability. Movements will be performed for virtuosity, not intensity.
How is this different from the traditional mobility class CFPG offered?
We are taking mobility a step further and moving in class. In addition to traditional mobility, we will be conducting light strength and cardio movements to help in the aid of recovery, joint health, and full body mobility. This includes rowing, sled push, and pull up bar work - to list a few examples.
Who is this class for?
EVERYONE! If you have a nagging injury or discomfort, there should be no excuse for you not to come to this class. Wellness is a key component to this class.
